For Students
ATTENTION ALL CHILDREN WHOSE PARENT IS PARTICIPATING OR HAS PARTICIPATED IN OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM OR OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM: WE HAVE ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING FOR YOU!
The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to deserving sons and daughters of current or former United States Marines in their pursuit of higher education. We also provide a very limited number of scholarships to children of Navy Corpsmen who serve or have served with Marines. (See specific eligibility requirements here.)
One-year scholarships are awarded annually and are limited to undergraduate studies at accredited educational and/or technical institutions. Our "Heroes Tribute Scholarships" (of up to $30,000 over four years) are given to the children of Marines and the children of Navy Corpsmen serving with the Marines whose parent is killed in the ongoing Global War on Terror. Current scholarship recipients must reapply each year and are limited to a total of four awards.
The application submission deadlines for the 2009-2010 academic year have passed. Applications for the 2010-2011 academic year will be available in mid-February 2010.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your generous scholarship yet I fear words simply are not enough. You have given me the opportunity to acquire an education with smaller burdens of financial debt. When my father died it not only inflicted great emotional damage but also considerable financial damage. Your foundation has helped to lessen that load. Rather than express my gratitude in words I will do so through action. I will be a good steward of your gift through hard work and I will conduct myself with a sense of determination to become a worthy representative of our American values.”
- William M. King, MCSF Scholarship Recipient 2006-2007
