About MCSF
The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF) is a public non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation operated by volunteers and professional staff. The Foundation does not receive any government funds, but rather relies on its volunteers to raise funds primarily with a series of special events (scholarship balls and golf tournaments) across the country. Donations are accepted at any level according to MCSF charitable gift acceptance policies. Permanently endowed and annual named scholarships are available for memorializing or honoring a loved one. Endowed funds are held in perpetuity and invested according to MCSF investment policies.
MCSF is committed to minimize our expenses through best practices and the service of hundreds of dedicated volunteers, keeping our current expense ratio at 11.74%. We have also been rated a Four Star Charity by Charity Navigator and Best in America by the Independent Charities of America for demonstrating the highest standards of public accountability and program cost effectiveness.
